Booking and Deposits/Balances/Responsibilities
A non refundable deposit is required to secure the booking, the amount may vary from booking to booking period . We accept cheques or Bank transfers. The balance will become payable 8 weeks prior to arrival, or immediately if the booking date is less than 8 weeks to the commencement of your stay.
This will be confirmed on receipt of your deposit, failure to pay the balance by the due date given, will result in the booking being cancelled. Any alterations to bookings is subject to administration charge of £35.00. We are not liable to send out reminders of any dates, that is the responsibility of the lead party/booking member.
In the unlikely event we have to make any changes to your booking, due to problems beyond our control and therefore bookings have to be changed, or even cancelled. We have the right to do so. If we do, we will contact you as soon as, within given reasonable timing, (by phone if reasonably possible in the case of a significant change or cancellation or via email to advise about minor /major changes regarding your booking) . An explanation will be given as to the nature of the happenings, whether cancellation or change of booking, this could be simply a change of property or another date to be arranged, (but not limited to this) which would be mutually agreed. However, we will have no further liability to you.
Certain events that we can not be held responsible for and will not have any liability to you either jointly or individually and if we are prevented or delayed from carrying out our responsibilities for your booking with the Cottages, as a result of any event which is beyond our control and the inability or delay in carrying out such responsibilities will not be treated as a breach of these booking conditions. Listed below are examples of some, but are not limited to:
Acts of Terrorism Riots War or civil unrest Malicious Damage
Natural Disaster Strikes Labour Disputes Storm Damage
Weather related flood damage
Break down/failures of any electrical/machinery/equipment
Serious Disease outbreak, giving risk to human health
Enforced law/order or travel advise issued by Government/Health Dept/Foreign Office or local authority to avoid travel within the UK Regional or National and any outside UK travel inbound or outbound.
Smoking Policy
Strictly No Smoking is not permitted within the Cottages.
There is a smoking area outside, Do not discard cigarette butts in the close proximity of either cottage, garden lawn or stoned area – small ash pots/stub pots are provided for this purpose.
Arrival/Departure
Registered Guests only may enter Newborough Cottages at any time. Additional guests are not permitted and we reserve the right to ask the whole party to leave, unless advised prior to arrival.
Arrival at the property is after 3pm on the day of arrival , unless otherwise agreed, and departure must be before 10am unless otherwise previously agreed. Please contact us on the numbers given for key collection prior to arrival at the property.
Damages
The property is expected to be left in the condition of cleanliness, general repair and order in which it was found upon your arrival.
In respect to behaviour at the Cottages, all members of the party agree, that the property will be kept clean and tidy, leave the property in a similar condition as found on arrival, no anti social behaviour, breaches of the peace, or any other disruption which may affect the enjoyment of others, not to use the property for any unauthorised commercial use, no subletting, no use of illegal substances or selling of such. This can result in ending of your stay at the cottages.
We reserve the right to ask for a deposit against the property, the details of which, and when this should be made, and then the return of the deposit (less any breakage, damage costs etc) will be provided to you at the time of booking
In the unfortunate event of damage or breakages, the owners/house-keeper must be notified. All damages and breakage’s are the legal responsibility of the lead member and their replacement cost will be payable on demand. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, i.e glasses or plates, but we may forward you a invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. You agree to allow the owner or their representative (including workmen) access to the property as required to carry out any repairs.
Insurances
We always recommend that you purchase holiday travel insurance to cover your holiday. The lead party member – person who books will be responsible for covering us, for expenses incurred for damage or loss to our property that arises out of your group failure to take out proper insurance cover. We therefore strongly advise you to take out insurance that will cover any damage ,which may happen to the property, or even which belongs to other people and which may get damaged.
The lead member of the party will be responsible for the whole Group and therefore any loss or damage to the property, fixtures, fittings internally and externally from arrival to departure. If any items are found missing or broken and were not mentioned prior to your departure, we will contact the lead Group member to discuss payment for these items.
Any other
Any celebrations wishing to bring along a Sound Systems MUST Liaise with us prior to arrival to avoid breach of any restrictions in place, or upsetting our closest neighbours.
If the Hot Tub has been hired, please ensure the guidelines on the Do’s and Don’ts are read and understood, and we do not accept any liability from any mis-use of the Hot Tub
Super fast wifi is available , consideration must be taken into account on how many devices may be connected at any one time.
The Kitchen cupboards are stocked with a variety of extras such as kitchen roll, condiments, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin liners, rubbish sacks, together with some basic cleaning materials, polish, dusters, dish cloths, floor cleaner etc. There are only ‘Starter Pack’ quantities to allow you to get up and going, as we are a self catering unit. Most supermarkets now deliver to the cottages via online orders.
All Linen, bath towels, water, electric, heating costs are included in the rental.
By forwarding enquiry and booking , the lead party member gives consent for the use of your name and email address to be used and stored for the use of further corresspondence regarding a booking made. Any data held will not be shared with a third party.
